山中の洞窟で発見された、木製の像のような外見をした異形。普段は微動だにせず、まるでそこに祀られているかのように佇む。ただし稀に、低い声のような音を発しながらわずかに動くことがある。
目撃場所へ再度訪れると、忽然と姿を消していることが多く、その後全く別の場所で発見される例も確認されている。
A being discovered within mountain caves, bearing the appearance of a wooden Buddhist statue. It typically remains completely motionless, standing as though it were enshrined in that very place. However, on rare occasions, it has been observed to emit a faint murmuring voice while shifting its posture ever so slightly.
When observers return to its last known location, it is often gone without a trace, only to be encountered later in a completely different location. This suggests that it is capable of relocating, albeit slowly and mysteriously.
座した人型の頭部から、さらに複数の頭部が連なる構造をしている。背面には、文字のようなものが記された板状の物体が複数取り付けられており、全体として不安定にも見えるが絶妙なバランスを保っている。文字の意味は解読されていない。
It has a seated humanoid head from which multiple additional heads extend in succession. On its back, several board-like objects are attached, each inscribed with what appear to be characters. While the overall structure might seem unstable, it maintains a delicate balance.The meaning of the inscriptions has not been deciphered.
目撃者がを本対象を持ち運ぼうとして触れた際、像が粉末のように崩壊し形を失ったという報告がある。一方で他の動物が接触した場合には同様の現象は確認されていない。このことから人間が触れた場合にのみ粉砕される可能性がある。またその数日後、本対象の頭部の数が1つ増えた状態で再出現したという記録もある。
There are reports that when a witness attempted to move the entity, it crumbled like powder upon touch, losing its shape entirely.On the other hand, no such phenomenon has been observed when other animals come into contact with the entity. This suggests that it may only disintegrate when touched by a human.
There are also reports that, several days later, the entity reappeared with one additional head.

元々は古い時代に人間によって作られた木像であったとされ、それは古い時代には山の御神木の根元付近に置かれていた。
明治時代ごろにその木像は破壊さた記録が残っているが、現在まで時間をかけて再生を繰り返しているものと思われる。
It is believed to have originally been a wooden statue created by humans in ancient times,and it was once placed near the roots of a sacred tree deep in the mountains.
Records from around the Meiji era state that the wooden statue was destroyed. However, it is thought to have continued regenerating over time up to the present day.
