木そのものが蛇の姿になったような長い体を持つ異形。明治時代末期頃の記録にもその存在が記されている。当時は小型の蛇のような異形とされていたが近年では全長4〜6mに達するものが目撃されている。

駆像の起源とされる木像はかつて祈るような姿をしていたと伝えられている。しかし明治時代に破壊された際、腕の部分は本体から分離された状態で山奥に捨てられたとされる。その際に残された腕の一部が長い年月をかけて形を成し、零蛇となったと考えられている。

A malformed being with a long body resembling a snake made entirely of wood. Its existence is recorded in documents dating back to the late Meiji era. At the time, it was described as a small serpent-like creature, but in recent years, specimens measuring 4 to 6 meters in length have been reported.

The wooden statue believed to be the origin of Kuzou was said to have originally taken the form of a figure in prayer. However, when it was destroyed during the Meiji era, its arms were reportedly separated from the main body and discarded deep within the mountains. It is believed that a portion of one of these discarded arms gradually took shape over many years, eventually becoming Reida.
