前後に顔を持ち、前に進むことも後ろに進むこともできる。
それぞれの顔には昆虫のような奇妙な存在が取り付き、眼の役割を果たしていると考えられている。
本体と二つの顔は、まるで一つの命を分け合うように不気味な共存関係を成している。

双顔鹿は近年に目撃されており、古い記録にはその存在が確認されていない。
明治時代頃と思われる記録には頭部を二つ持つ無顔鹿が記されており、その姿は双顔鹿の形状と類似している。
また、頭部に共存する存在は、祈蝉の背面から分離した人頭状の異形とよく似た形態をしている。
The entity referred to as “Souganroku” has only been witnessed in recent years, and no trace of its existence appears in older records.
Documents believed to date back to the Meiji era describe a Muganroku-like creature possessing two heads, whose appearance closely resembles the form of Souganroku.
In addition, the coexisting entity attached to its head bears a strong resemblance to the humanoid aberration separated from the back of Kisen.
これらのことから、明治以降に祈蝉から独立した存在が無顔鹿の頭部に共存し、現在では完全に一体化したものと考えられる。
無顔鹿の名称になぞらえ、「双顔鹿」と呼称している。
Based on these records, it is believed that, sometime after the Meiji period, an existence that separated from Kisen came to coexist upon the head of Muganroku, eventually becoming completely fused with it in the present day.
Following the naming convention of Muganroku, the entity is provisionally referred to as “Souganroku.”
